How We Met

Jarom and I first met in the spring of 2005.
We were both dating other people at the time.
He was a supervisor in the Rides department at Lagoon, and I was an employee of his, but I worked on the other side of the park so not really with him.
We talked a little that summer, but not much until September.

I was typically working in Area 5, which was on the north end of the park. (Rocket, Jet Star, Samurai, etc..) That year Cliffhanger had been broken all summer, and was finally ready to be opened in September. Because it hadn't worked, no one had been trained on it yet that year. The rides office chose a handful of people that they wanted to be trained on it and I was one of them. I attended the trainings and worked it the first weekend it was open.

Jarom was a supervisor in Area 3, on the south end of the park, including Cliffhanger. Once I started working Cliffhanger (which was a lot, because I was one of very few that knew it) I started to see and talk to him a lot more. He was always very nice, and very cute. He was friendly, smart, INCREDIBLY muscular, responsible.. He seemed like a very good guy.

We talked whenever we worked in the same area, and I got to know more about him thanks to a sweet friend Karen who asked him lots of questions.

Then the season ended, and we didn't really talk much after that.

For a few months at least..

The Beginning

We are starting this blog today for the sole purpose of posting about family life. I want somewhere that we can share and record the story of our family, the one that was created when we fell in love and got married 5 years ago. This will be our journal, our history, a special place to focus on us and the good things in life.. and it will all begin with our love story.
